You can use the Health App to request your repeat medication, by following these steps:
Select 'View medication and request repeat prescriptions' on the welcome screen.
Alternately, click on the 'Medication' tab, near the top of the Health App.
Mobile Health App:
You can find 'Current Medication', under 'Medication', in the menu of the Health App.
Select 'Current Medication'.
Select 'Repeat Medications'.
Under 'Repeat Prescriptions', you can request medication by clicking on the tick box, next to the name of the medication you would like to order.
Then click 'Request repeat prescription', at the bottom of the screen.
You can request as many or as few repeat medication as you wish to, as long as your medication status is showing as 'Available'.
You can choose to add notes to your medication request, for your GP surgery, in the 'Special instructions' text box, on the 'Order Medication' page.
Once you're happy with your medication request, click 'Request Medication', near the bottom of the screen.
After you have requested your medication, you will see a medication request confirmation page.
You will now see the medication you have requested has now changed to an 'On Order' status, on 'Repeat Medications', on the Health App.
You can check more information about your repeat medication, by selecting the 'Show/Hide details' drop-down-box, under the name of the medication.
You can find out the last time your medication was ordered next to 'Last Requested'.
You will also see information about:
- Your medication, including brief instructions on how to use your medication
- Last issued date
- Information about your medication if it has reached it's maximum issue count
- Medication status:
- Requested - your medication has been sent to your GP surgery.
- Issued - your medication was issued, the last time you made a request.
- Rejected - your medication was rejected, the last time you made a request.
The availability dates and list of repeat medication are read from your GP surgery's clinical system.
If you cannot see medication you wish to make a request for on the Health App, you will need to contact your GP surgery directly.
