What is the Health App?
The Health App provides access to your local NHS services from your mobile device or the web.
You can get quick and easy access to your local NHS GP surgery, along with additional NHS sites within your local area.

BOOK APPOINTMENTS
Book appointments for yourself and manage your family’s accounts whenever it suits you, all in one place. Access appointments at your registered GP surgery and at extended access hubs.
ORDER YOUR MEDICATION
Order your repeat medication at your own convenience and in a couple of clicks. You can also request medication not shown on your medical record.
ACCESS YOUR RECORD
Take control of your health data by viewing and accessing your health data. You can get the latest information, such as test results, in real-time from your GP surgery, without having to call them.
VIDEO CONSULTATIONS
Get quick and easy access to your local NHS GP surgery, from anywhere via a video call. See your GP surgery at a convenient time and place without the need to travel to your practice.

Your data is secure and safe
TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
Two-step verification via NHS login helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your app account. It uses two different forms of identity: your password, and a contact method (email or SMS). Even if someone else finds your password, they won't be able to login, if they don't have access to your additional contact method.
NO STORED DATA
The Health App has developed a way of securely accessing your medical record in real-time, thus preventing the need to move or store your data anywhere else. This means your data is always up-to-date and never moved from the secure NHS database. In addition, it means your health data is never stored on the device or Health App itself.
CONSENT AND PRIVACY
We believe you should control your own data and no one else. That’s why we capture your explicit consent when you use the Health App to access local NHS services. This ensures you know to whom, why and what elements of your data will be shared to provide you with excellent care. We will never share your data with a third-party unless you have consented to do so.
